Justin Marm took delivery of a 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000 last week making 5150 Racing the first Fast by Ferracci support team in the US for the 2007 season. 5150 is comprised of Marm, a business owner and 2006 WERA Sportsman B Superbike Champion, and team captain Phil Caudill, owner of Moto-Heaven.com, Thrust Company, and XES Leathers. 5150 completed the 2006 WERA National Endurance Series in 4th place overall and 2nd place in Heavyweight Super Sport, finishing 8 of 10 rounds on the podium. Marm and Caudill spent most of last Tuesday disassembling the F4 to get acquainted with Italian engineering, to remove the engine and suspension for race preparation. “The F4 is really an amazing piece of machinery; the engineering is beyond any other bike I have ever worked on”, said Marm. Initial plans are to compete in the 2007 WERA National Endurance Series and select AMA rounds but the decision as to superbike or superstock has not been determined at this point. “We are awaiting word on factory contingency which should be close to current programs offered by Japanese manufacturers. We are also seeking support and sponsorship for the upcoming year and are confident that with the knowledge and assistance of Fast by Ferracci we will have a successful year”, explained Marm.
