R.I.P.: Nita Perry, Mother Of AMA Crew Chief Keith Perry

Nita Perry, mother of former racer and current M4 EMGO Suzuki Crew Chief Keith Perry, died today at a hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Her obituary follows: Juanita M. Perry, 71, of Athens, AL passed away at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville on October 12, 2006. Funeral services will be Saturday October 14, 2006 at 2:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, with Pastor Joey Thompson and Doyle Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Limestone Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home Friday October 13, 2006 at 6-9pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., or the Arthritis Foundation. Mrs. Perry was born January 5, 1935 in Calhoun County, Alabama. She was a graduate of Ohatchee High School and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Athens. She was preceeded in death by her husband, James Douglas Perry, her mother Alice C. Molan, and her father, Lother F. Molan. Surviving family include her sons, Keith D. (Laura) Perry of Athens, J. Allen (Marcia) Perry of Decatur, and Jeffery P. (Rebecca) Perry of Waco, GA, four grandchildren, Jennifer (Zack) Houston of Athens, Laura (Josh) Kennedy of Athens, Shane Perry of Decatur and Spencer Perry of Decatur, two great-grandchildren, Macey Houston of Athens, and Makayla Kennedy of Athens. Pallbearers will be deacons of Southside Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the administration, staff and “family” of The Terrace at Priceville for all their love and support.
