EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS EQ-5 Universal Motorcycle Technical Requirements Section 5-4 (change as follows) Brake caliper mountings must be wire locked front and rear. The use of safety wired quickchange clips is permitted. Section 5-32-2 (change as follows) Substitution of springs, change of shims and/or spacers, addition of “Race Tech” kit/aftermarket type valving and/or cartridge damper rod is permitted. Section 5-37.1 (add the following) Traction control is not permitted. Section 5-38 (change as follows) Aftermarket bodywork and custom fairing mounts are permitted. Fairings are not required to retain the stock silhouette. Section 5-39 (change as follows) Motorcycles are required to mount an oil-retaining, “sealed” lower fairing. An aftermarket, full race fairing is permitted. Section 5-40 (change as follows) The stock fuel tank (or tank cover area) and its appearance must be retained. Modifying the underside or non-visible area of the stock tank is permitted to comply with the fuel capacity limit of 4.0 US gallons. Section 5-41 (remove) Section 5-43 (change as follows) For events running past sundown a headlight and taillight of sufficient power to be visible must be fitted. Aftermarket lights are permitted. Removable lights are also permitted. Supplementary Regulations will specify when lights must be used on-track. EQ-8 Class Horsepower Limits Section 8-2 (change as follows) Super Sport Twins (SST) machines must develop at least 90hp and no more than 118hp when tested for compliance. SPORTING REGULATIONS SP-9-5 Pit Lane Regulations Section 9-5.10 (Add) All teams must clearly mark their pit area with their assigned MOTO-ST competition number. Section 9-5.11 (Add) Spare machines are permitted in the paddock, and behind pit wall, during the race. Spare machines are not permitted on-track during practice, qualifying, or races, unless entered separately from the team’s typical machine, thereby comprising a new or second entry.
