Denver, CO, – On September 22nd thru the 24th, 2006, TrackAddix will host an exciting weekend of Championship Cup Series motorcycle road racing at Motorsport Park Hastings (MPH) in Hastings, Nebraska. Come see some of the best club racers battle it out at speeds over 160 mph on MPH’s 2.3-mile road racing circuit. MPH features silky-smooth polymer based asphalt and 14-turns that will test racer’s skills. It’s a TrackAddix GP event with SuperBike racing all weekend! Friday’s opening festivities will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Budweiser Clydesdale team on display. Free practice will be available from 3 to 7 p.m. for any rider holding a current race license with any CCS recognized race organization. Budweiser will also sponsor a beer garden with food and refreshments. Saturday will consist of racer and track-day practice followed by 25 minute GT races starting at 4:30 in the afternoon. On Sunday opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by 16 different sprint races involving various classes and types of motorcycles. Racers will be competing for over $5,000 in cash prize money and over $70,000 in sponsor contingency payouts. In addition, Yamaha will be providing thousands of dollars in factory contingency payouts. $1000 Lap Record Bounty! Riding a 2005 Suzuki GSXR-1000 top Motorcycle Roadracing Association (MRA) racer Shane Turpin set the Motorsport Park Hastings lap record for motorcycles at 1:29.209 during an MRA event September 10th. Shane has “thrown down the gauntlet” and challenged any racer to beat his time. Shane has contributed $250 in cash to a fund started by TrackAddix and MPH that will be paid to anyone who beats the record.
