The CRA (Central Roadracing Association) experienced some great racing this weekend! With the sun shining, the tires sticking, and the engines screaming around famously fast BIR.
The club hosted two special races this weekend, our annual Formula 40 race honoring our “senior” racers won by Tony Day #56 in the big bike category and Jeff Japs #39 in the small bike category. Second was the Framsted Cup which is a handicap grid race also won by Jeff Japs #39 aboard his TZ250 in honor of Don Framsted.
We had some serious crashes this weekend and our thoughts and prayers are with the racers and their families during this time of healing. Stay strong!
The CRA was proud to offer contingency awards from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli, EBC, Ferodo, Silkolene, Leo Vince, and Jenspeed throughout all our classes from Unlimited to Ultralight.
Our final race event takes place September 15-17 with sprints all day Saturday and Sunday September 17th hosting our 5-hour endurance race at BIR. This is a team race that marks the end of our racing season. Have a group of fast riders, come on up and prove it on the fastest turn in America!
