Fears that new pavement at Laguna Seca Raceway would destroy tires in a handlful of laps–a problem encountered during the first test at Miller Motorsports Park–were not realized this morning. Several bikes coming in off the track this morning had normal-looking rear tires with accelerated–but still manageable–tearing on the left side of the front tire.
