Butler Machinery’s Robert Jensen earned $6000 in Suzuki contingency money when he rode his Michelin-shod GSX-Rs to three CCS race wins Sunday at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).

In the dry Middleweight Supersport sprint, Jensen passed Arclight Suzuki’s Jeff Wood in turn one at the start and held him off to win by one bikelength, 0.113 second.

Jensen chose to ride his GSX-R750 in the wet Unlimited Supersport contest, and the strategy paid off as he was able to beat Tim Bemisderfer, who rode a Shenandoah Honda CBR1000RR, in a race-long battle.

As weather and track conditions worsened throughout the day, only five riders took to the grid for the Unlimited Grand Prix, and Jensen, still on his GSX-R750, left them all behind.

Main Line BMW’s Nate Kern also took multiple race victories on Sunday, winning in Lightweight Grand Prix and Lightweight Superbike on his Pirelli-shod new R1200S.
