March 25, Jennings, Florida The opening round of the WERA National Endurance Series was the debut of Blue Ridge Performance’s new Kawasaki 650R’s. Finishing touches were still being done friday morning at the track, as one of our suppliers was not able to get our parts finished in time, and Chief Mechanic / Traxxion Dynamic Tech / Lead Rider Martin Musil had to fabricate parts at the last minute. Only being able to get 1 pratice session in we were doing our best getting a base setup. Saturday morning a shock swap was made, and we were as ready as we could be. With Martin being the only member from past years, and a new pit crew, were hoping for the best. Martin took the start, and built a lead, but soon the more powerful SV’s caught and passed us. Numerous red flags actually worked againist us, but mistakes by other teams, and the lack of mistakes on our part worked out for the best. After the 6 hour race ended, we won by a full lap. Both Martin Musil, and new rider Matt Lapham rode perfectly running consistant laps times to give Blue Ridge and Kawasaki it’s first Light Weight win of the year.
