POLINI MOTORI AND FAUSTO GRESINI: TOGETHER AGAIN IN THE 2006 SEASON The 63rd International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan has also been the opportunity for the Polini Motori to renew the agreement for 2006 season with the Team Fortune Honda run by Fausto Gresini. This is the partnership that will characterize the presence of the Polini-Motori in the 2006 MotoGP World Championship. “We are happy about this agreement for the 2006 season” said both Saimon Polini, responsible marketing of the Polini Motori, and Fausto Gresini, Team Manager of the Fortuna Honda Team. “We entered carefully with Fausto’s Team in the 2005 season, and immediately we found great satisfactions: we have launched on the market a minibikes replies series too, and it had a good reply”. The 2005 season has also been a great year for the results scored by Marco Melandri. “Marco did a great season, conquering the title of vice champion of the MotoGP and consecutively winning two races. In 2006 season, team mate of Melandri will be the young Spanish Toni Elias, the 22 year old Spanish rider who begun to race with our mini bikes and than with scooter prepared with the products of Polini destined to the competitions. With two young riders as Melandri and Elias, the experience of Fausto and Honda’s support, we are sure to have done a good choice to keep on being present in the MotoGP” concluded Saimon Polini . The agreement between the Polini Motori and the Fortuna Honda team run by Fausto Gresini, confirms the commitment of Polini to the maximum levels in the world of the competitions. After having conquered 3 titles in the 125 cc., 1 in the 500 cc. and another one in the MotoGP, the Polini Motori has chosen to continue with the Honda Team 2005 deputy world champion, with the objective of other important productive novelties for the future.
