Magyar TV gets MotoGP television rights for Hungary Starting from this weekend’s Gauloises TT Assen, Hungary’s public broadcaster Magyar TV is joining the list of networks that show MotoGP races, increasing the number of stations that broadcast live or same-day-delayed coverage of the World Championship events to 47. The recent success of Gabor Talmacsi, the Hungarian rider who won the Gran Premio Alice d’Italia and is one of the leading contenders in the 125cc class, has been a key factor in the increased level of awareness that MotoGP has enjoyed in the Central European country in 2005. The one-year agreement signed by Magyar TV with Dorna Sports, the company that holds the rights to MotoGP, entitles the leading Hungarian broadcaster to show every Grand Prix either live or through a same-day highlights package.
