Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki’s Jason Pridmore will not be racing at Road America this weekend after breaking a bone in his right foot in a crash during promoter’s practice Thursday. “I was only going to do a few laps, because I just wanted to see where I was at after my Barber crash,” Pridmore told Roadracingworld.com. “I just started to accelerate up the hill out of turn five, and the front wheel locked. Of course, the first thing I did to save it was put my foot out, and my foot jammed into the ground. Then the bike caught, flicked me over the highside and I landed right on my elbow. “I went back over to see if I hit some oil or something, and I didn’t see any. But I did see this long black mark. I tried to spin the front wheel, and it wouldn’t move. The corner workers had to pick it up to put it in the truck, because the front wheel wouldn’t roll.” Pridmore said he went to the hospital after the incident mainly to prevent an infection by thoroughly cleaning the puncture wound in his left elbow and as an afterthought decided to have his foot X-rayed, which confirmed the fracture. “I have two fractures in my fifth metatarsal,” said Pridmore. “We sent the X-rays to Dr. Ting today. We will probably end up flying out of here Sunday and having surgery Monday, if it comes down to that.”
