Mike Hale makes return to AMA Mike Hale officially announces his return to AMA national racing on the Rockwall Honda CBR600RR Formula Extreme machine. “I’m happy to be coming back to roadracing this year,” says the Fort Worth, Texas resident. “I’ve been racing with Rockwall Honda in some Supermoto events last year, and I’ve known the guys at Rockwall Honda for some time now. I’m looking forward to working with them on this team and returning to roadracing.” Rockwall Honda team owner Michael Worrell is looking forward to competing in the last four races this season. “We will debut the team at Road America in a couple weekends, and are committed to Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, and VIR. Other riders on the team include Randy Kienast in Superstock and Jim McQueary and Clay Hoenshell in AMA Supermoto. We picked up the Erion Racing 600RR prepped for Alex Gobert for Daytona. The bike has already tested fast, and we’re spending lots of track time getting Mike familiar with the bike, and getting the bike set-up for the Pirelli tires.” Crew chief for Hale will be long time friend and owner of Vespa Santa Barbara , Bobby Weindorf.
