San Jose Mercury News investigative sports writer Elliot Almond has written another piece on Dr. Art Ting, the orthopedic surgeon best known in motorcycling circles for patching together injured racers. Almond broke the original story on Dr. Ting’s problems with the California Medical Board, which has put him on probation twice, most recently for office supervision problems. As part of his research for the piece, Almond interviewed racers Jason Pridmore and Chris Ulrich.
