James Allyn Lester James Allyn Lester, 38, of DeLand, Fla., formerly of Danbury (Connecticut), passed away on April 28th from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Jim was born in Norwalk on January 5, 1967. He lived in Danbury, attended Danbury Schools, and worked in the area until relocating with his family to Florida last summer. Jim was an outgoing generous person, and a true friend, who lived his life to the fullest. Jim’s first love was his family, but his passion was motorcycles. Jim began racing motorcycles in 1992, in Loudon, N.H. He became an accomplished professional motorcycle racer competing at various racetracks throughout the country, winning many championships and awards. Despite many injuries his courage and strength kept him coming back to the sport he loved so much, until an injury suffered during a practice session forced him to retire from competition. Jim’s memories of racing and the people he met were very important to him. He had recently accepted a position in the motorcycle industry. Of all his experiences, what was most important to him was being a Daddy to his beloved children, Jimmy Jr. and Rachel; they are what he loved and cherished most. He will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all those who knew him. Jim is survived by his wife, Karin (Mohan) Lester, their two precious children, James Jr. and Rachel of DeLand Fla., his parents, Patricia (Forbes) and Allyn Lester of Deltona, Fla; two brothers, Thomas and Scott, both of Deltona, Fla., a niece; a nephew, several aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as many many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, on Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, on Thursday, May 5 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up to help support Jim’s children. Checks may be made payable to Karin Lester and sent c/o Connecticut Pain Care, 109 Newtown Road, Danbury, CT. 06810.
