In response to statements made by Attack Kawasaki crew members on various Internet BBS sites (and on the Attack Kawasaki website) speculating that a fuel problem caused the Attack Kawasakis to blow up at Daytona, VP Racing Fuels Global Sales Manager Bruce Hendel today issued this statement: “VP Racing Fuels has performed a full set of tests on fuel samples taken directly from the Attack Performance Superbike gas tank as well as samples from drums they were using at Daytona. We were very concerned,” said VP’s Bruce Hendel, “and certainly wanted to help sort out any issues. Besides our in-house laboratory, we also used an independant outside test facility to back our results. The fuel samples provided by Attack Performance were found to be within specifications.”
