Arclight Suzuki’s Jeff Wood and Ed Key were the stars of the CCS races Sunday at Road America. The weather stayed dry but continued to be very cold, with temperatures just barely reaching the low 50s with winds in excess of 20 mph for the second day straight.

Wood took wins in both the Middleweight Supersport and Heavyweight Superbike classes, completing a weekend that saw Wood win every race he entered, both CCS and F-USA, as well as take pole positions in every F-USA event he entered. Wood got off to and early lead in both CCS events and never looked back, winning by several seconds in each race.

Motorcycle Performance’s Key used a pair of Suzuki SV650s to take victory in Lightweight Supersport, Superbike and Grand Prix. Key was able to use his superior holeshot skills to get out front early in all three of the events, taking commanding victories in the Superbike and Grand Prix classes on his Superbike-spec SV. In Lightweight Supersport David Yaakov was able to keep Key honest, but Yaakov’s SV was no mach for Key’s Supersport-spec bike, and Key was able to draft by at the line to go three-for-three.

Mark Junge rode his Vesrah Suzuki GSX-R1000 to a healthy victory in the Unlimted Supersport class, followed by former Pro Thunder Champion Shawn Conrad and new Argo Cycles rider Jesse Janisch. Conrad and Janisch were both on Suzuki GSX-R750s.
