John D. Rosno died from cancer early morning April 18th in Omaha, Nebraska at 72 years of age. He is survived by Annette Rosno and Dave Rosno, children that he and his wife, Dorothy Rosno, adopted at birth. Dave Rosno, a road racer since 1987 and a racing school instructor since 1993, currently races under the “Super Dave’s Race Against Childhood Cancer” banner. “It was through my experience with the death of my mother from cancer and the birth of my children that motivated me to do something with what I know…motorcycle racing. The funds we raised in 2004 went exclusively to Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. We will continue to work with them; they do great things. I would like to contribute to Omaha’s Methodist Hospital this year also, as they have a pediatric cancer program, and the staff was very good to my father and my family for the short stay that we had there. I hope that I’ll be able to set something up for them in the next couple of days.” More information will be available at the just started website for Super Dave’s Race Against Childhood Cancer at http://www.superdavesrace.com
