The April 2005 issue of Roadracing World contained an Inside Info item that stated: “The Art of the Motorcycle exhibit, which opened at the Guggenheim Museum in 1998, will be displayed at the Orlando Museum of Art in Florida until July 23, 2006. For further information, call (407) 896-4231 or visit www.omart.org .” The news item neglected to include the fact that the display doesn’t open until January, 2006. Don’t go there now expecting to see motorcycles. Readers should always call ahead and double check before heading out cross-country to an event (which is why we include contact information in event notices). More, from the museum itself: Thank you for including the Orlando Museum of Art’s exhibition The Art of the Motorcycle in your April issue. However, please note, the exhibition does not open until January 22, 2006. We endured 4-1/2 hours of stop and go traffic on the infamous I4 that they have been working on since 1978. I spent $40 on gas and wore out my left leg on the clutch. Upon arrival, we learned that the display is not coming until 2006! Then we had another miserable 4 hours drive home. Please print this so others will not waste a whole day or more traveling there. Best Wishes, Gary S. Bohart Apollo Bch, Florida
