From a press release:
Eric Wood has signed on for a second year with Team Hooters Suzuki. After finishing 9th in the 2004 AMA Superbike Championship, Wood is looking forward to an even better 2005 on the updated Suzuki GSX-R1000.
“I am really looking forward to running both Superstock and Superbike again in 2005. The new bikes should be the class of the field and there is more competition this year in both classes – the whole team is looking forward to the challenge,” Wood remarked.
The team will be headed again by crew chief Mike Fargnoli and Wood will have his 2004 mechanic Scott Simone together with long time AMA Superbike racer Andy “Woody” Deatherage working on his machinery at the racetrack.
Wood added, “The crew we had last season worked together extremely well and I’m excited to add on someone of the caliber of Woody Deatherage for next year. The combination of the new GSX-R and this experienced crew should give us the opportunity to have a great season.”
In addition to the list of quality sponsors associated with Team Hooters Suzuki, Wood is proud to bring along his long time personal sponsors Vanson leathers, Arai Helmets, Gearne Boots and Bettencourts Suzuki.
