This just in, Alpina Safety Systems Unlimited, the world leader in safety systems for all types of racing, has just finalized a cooperation with Misano, Italy’s racetrack for the purchase and support for 246 Alpina Super Defenders, the state of the art safety module made by Alpina in Steindorf, Austria.

(Editorial note: Alpina Super Defender modules are about 6.5 feet long, so this is about 1599 linear feet of non-inflatable, energy-absorbing barrier padding.)
