With five days remaining in the auction to benefit the Roadracing World Air Fence Fund, American Honda’s Nicky Hayden’s leathers have received a bid of $3550. Hayden himself came up with the idea of auctioning off a set of his leathers, worn to his race win at Mid-Ohio, with the proceeds of the sale going to the Roadracing World Air Fence fund.

Hayden, currently at Daytona International Speedway for the Dunlop tire tests, is paying close attention to the auction and seems very happy anytime someone brings up the topic in conversation.

A new bidder, “hondaron39”, currently holds the highest bid but “shogunone” and “cmra_5” are still active bidders in the auction that is due to close at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 16.
