A press release issued by BMW North America announced the “First International BMW Motorrad Bikers’ Meeting In Seefeld, Austria, July 6-8, 2001.”
According to the release:
“The First International BMW Motorrad Bikers’ Meeting will be taking place on the Seefeld High Alpine Plateau in Tyrol, Austria, from 6-8 July 2001. The comprehensive program will be starting on Friday at 9:00 a.m. As of 5:00 p.m., there will be short interviews with BMW experts and VIPs, a live band and DJ at the Sports Inn. The highlight on Saturday is the spectacular motorcycle stunt show by James Bond double Jean-Pierre Goy and a big Bikers’ Party with live music.
“Organized by BMW Motorrad, the meeting will be ending on Sunday morning with a motorcycle mass and a Dixieland morning get-together until 1:00 p.m.. Additional events in the program include a BMW motorcycle world exhibition, rider training, a training course, test drives with the BMW C1 and eight proposals for motorcycle tours on particularly attractive Tyrolean mountain roads.
