2005 U.S.GP To Be Featured On NBC’s World Of Adventure Sports August 27

Nicky Hayden’s Victory at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca featured on “World of Adventure Sports” on Saturday, August 27 MONTEREY, Calif. (August 25, 2005) Two-wheel road racing superstar Nicky Hayden and his dramatic MotoGP World Championship race victory at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix is among the features on NBC’s next “World of Adventure Sports” television program. The hour and a half show, hosted by Pat Parnell, will air this Saturday, August 27 at 2:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PST). The segment on the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix features four American riders, including Hayden, on their home turf at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca battling 4-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi and the rest of the MotoGP grid in front of a sell-out crowd of over 57,000 spectators. The 2005 event marked the stateside return of MotoGP for the first time since the United States Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 1994. The “World of Adventure Sports” Show is a new television program featuring an array of adrenaline-inspired feats, athlete profiles and sports events from around the world. Other features on this week’s show include the Red Bull Recon, a mountain bike expedition trip to Baja, Mexico; the Gobi March, a six-stage, 250-kilometer trek across the Gobi Desert of China; and a profile of free climber Michael Reardon and his free soloing ascent up Tahquitz Rock, near Idyllwild, California.
