Birmingham, AL The Barber Motorsports Park will host the 4th Annual Barber Vintage Festival this weekend, October 17-19. The Festival is one of the largest in the nation and features a number of attractions for motorcycle fans of all ages. The main attraction features vintage road racing, motocross, time trials and cross country competition in association with the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA). Additional attractions include one of the country’s largest motorcycle swap meets, demo rides from Ducati and Triumph, an air show by the AeroShell Aerobatic Team, a stunt show by Rhett Rotten’s “Wall of Death” and several demos of the motorcycles in the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum collection. “We really look forward to seeing this event grow and become the best in the country,” said Jeff Ray, Executive Director of the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. “Being the world’s largest motorcycle museum and home to a world class race track, it is only fitting that we bring the best gathering of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts to Birmingham. Our goal is to have more activities happening daily during the event than any one person could take part in.” Also new to the festival this year is “Motorcycles by Moonlight presented by Ducati,” a charity dinner benefiting the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. The evening will feature a seated dinner, a silent auction and a presentation by guest of honor, Cook Nielson, who delivered Ducati their first Daytona 200 win in 1977. Park admission includes all events (tickets to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum are sold separately). Three-day tickets are $35 in advance, $45 at the gate. Single-day tickets for Saturday or Sunday are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. each day. Children 12 and under admitted free with paying adult.
