We are pleased to announce that through the generous donations of some past participants, ToyRide is still around and we will be having our 7th Annual ToyRide!!!!! Join us at 8:30 am on Sunday December 2nd, 2007 at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA, for an opportunity to make a HUGE difference in the lives of foster children, and make this Christmas special!!! As always there will be lots of happenings, goings on, and most importantly for you, the rider tons of items to be raffled off to you including accessories, apparel, trackdays, and whole host of other goodies for you and your bike!! ToyRide is an amazing event with proceeds benefiting the foster children served by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Seven years ago, when an Orange County based sportbike club set out to help a local orphanage, no one realized it would turn into a huge tradition helping hundreds of kids every year. Now, known to most sportbike riders simply as ToyRide, we host the only sportbike based charity event of its kind. Though, that doesn’t preclude anyone on any type of motorcycle from riding to the event. Rain or shine, we ride for foster children!! During the first few years the children at Hollygrove received Christmas gifts and other donations through the generous participation and giving by riders at ToyRide events. A Christmas party for all the ToyRide children was held and Santa arrived on his trusted sportbike-sleigh “¦ of course! This year is no different except it is just bigger and better. But in the end, all of the gifts and donations raised through this event are given to foster children at a special party at Christmas time, and the kids love it too!! Your participation will help many foster children in Southern California enjoy Christmas with their families, and guarantee that Santa visits them this year!!! Additional donations will go to Celebration One, which awards scholarships to students in the foster care system entering college. Pre-registration is now open at www.toyride.org so go get yourselves signed up and don’t miss a moment of the fun. There is vendor space available for the December 2nd event. If you would like to promote your product, please send an email to [email protected].
