Beater’s 6.3-gallon (24-liter) liter fuel tank for the 2015-2017 Yamaha YZF-R1 is hand-made out of 100% aluminum. It has a wall thickness of 1.2mm and weighs 7.7 pounds (3.5 kg) without the filler cap(s) installed.

The tank comes with dual refueling openings that measure 4 inches (102mm) with nine holes for mounting hardware. The openings are designed to accommodate standard female dry-break refueling fittings. Fuel caps and block-offs for the refueling openings are available as extra-cost options.

No modifications are required to mount the tank using the stock mounting points, but the stock fuel tank cover will no longer fit in its original place.

The tank is legal under 2017 FIM Superbike, FIM Superstock 1000, MotoAmerica Superbike, MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 and FIM Endurance World Championship regulations, and many of the company’s tanks are currently in use in the FIM Endurance World Championship and the All-Japan Superbike Championship.

Tanks are made-to-order in Japan, so a lead time of 12-16 weeks is required.

Fuel tanks for other makes and models are also available, and a 6.3-gallon (24-liter) fuel tank for the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 will be available to order starting in February.

A Beater 2015-2017 Yamaha YZF-R1 6.3-gallon (24-liter) fuel tank is currently priced at $2990 USD, but that price may change with changes in currency exchange rates.

Orders of multiple tanks may be eligible for a discount.
