Rome, Georgia: Pirelli’s prize of a trip for two to the incredible SBK World Championship 2009 featuring American Ben Spies and Noriyuki Haga battling for the championship at Miller Motorsports Park, was won by enthusiast Zac Cypert, of Sugarland, Texas. Cypert won this contest after buying Pirelli Rosso tires and registering his purchase online. But Cypert won’t be attending the World Superbike event in Tooele, Utah, because he has given the prize to his two sons Jordan and Blake. Cypert said, “I ride a Kawasaki ZX-14 and my sons each have Honda CBR1000RRs. We follow all the road racing series and Ben Spies is a major hero of ours. I have business to take care of that week so I can’t go, but I’ll be watching it on TV.” Cypert continued, “All we use are Pirelli tires and my sons and I do track days and street rides so we need the best tires available for both. My ZX-14 is a lot of bike to get around a racetrack and after a day of riding on a set of Diablo Rosso tires I still have tread left over, and a bike like mine can produce a lot of wheel spin. No other tire performs with grip like this tire has and lasts as long. Our street riding sometimes takes us to the Hill Country in Texas, and while we don’t go the speeds we do on track, the security of high-grip is important. All I buy are Pirelli tires. “I never win anything so this was a shock. My wife said afterwards I should have also bought a lottery ticket the day I entered this contest.” Cypert made his purchase from motorcycle-superstore.com, and because of that, two employees of the Superstore will also be attending the SBK races at Miller. Pirelli Tire North America designs, develops, manufactures and markets tires for passenger vehicles in both the original equipment and replacement markets, as well as marketing tires for motorcycles and race cars. Located in Rome, Georgia, Pirelli’s Modular Integrated Robotized System (MIRS) employs state-of-the-art technology to manufacture tires for both export and domestic markets.
