THUNDERDUC RACING LAUNCHES – NEW TEAM WITH RETRO STYLE Douglassville, PA With the rapidly approaching CCS/ASRA weekend at Summit Point West Virginia, Pennsylvania road racer Chris Gorel brings ThunderDuc Racing to the holiday party. The ThunderDuc started as a 2006 Ducati Sport Classic off the showroom floor of Martin Motorsports, Chris Gorel’s 8 year and growing employer. When Ducati NA offering 50 limited race kits for the Sport Classic this past February, Chris abandoned the Suzuki GSXR camp as he headed into his first expert season and took on the project of building a bike most would never consider race ready by any stretch. Rebuilding the bike from scratch through the key help from inside and outside the industry was essential as the machine had to be ready for testing quickly to make an impact on the season. After successful testing the ThunderDuc will be ready for the Lightweight and Thunderbike grids this Memorial Day weekend in all it’s retro-style race livery. For those familiar with the Ducati Paul Smart limited editions, this Sport Classic racer will be an eye-catcher for sure. Chris has been feverishly preparing and documenting the buildup and will be making the fun reachable to all at his fans and followers through the team’s newly launched website www.ThunderDuc.com opening this weekend. “To do what other’s say is impossible” is the team’s motto and their prime motivation to keep the machine and it’s essence vintage yet competitive. Capitalizing on modern aftermarket parts and accessories is something Chris is well versed at for those familiar with his previous projects. ThunderDuc Racing will be making select races for the remainder of the 2007 season with WERA and CCS, as well as eastern trackday events with sponsor Shadow Video Production’s.
