FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: Just wanted to give you a warning about someone who is taking advantage of people looking for motorcycles and motorcycle parts. Maybe you can warn your customers. His name is Kelly Baker of Rosamond/Bakersfield California. My husband responded to an internet ad for a 748 engine and paid 900 dollars. Kelly Baker never sent the engine and continues to make excuses for why it has not arrived. We have done more research to find this person has a pattern of dishonest behavior. I feel it’s important to warn you and your customers about this problem. He still has an ad listed for the item we purchased…so I fear he is still taking money and giving nothing in return. Based on what we’ve found on the internet, he has a pattern of giving excuses. My husband talked with another person who said Kelly accused him of giving him a bad address. This man is not only not sending the engine, but he has resorted to personal attacks. He has called us names and been irate.
