From a press release:

Steve Scott, AMA 250 GP #66 riding the A1-Sports Yamaha TZ250, suffered a broken right fibula while competing at The AMA Supercuts Superbike Challenge presented by Honda of Milpitas at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California during Sunday’s MBNA 250 Grand Prix race.

The injury occurred during a fall at the carousel when the rider impacted the earth embankment on the outside of the turn, where no haybales or Airfence sections were in place.

“I lost control under braking and never got the thing turned,” said Scott. “The haybales started a little further down the hill–I missed the bales by approximately 4 feet.”

Scott is expected to miss the next round of the championship in 2 weeks at Road Atlanta, but hopes to be back on the bike at Pikes Peak Intl. Raceway in June.
