Parts Unlimited PJ1 Erion Honda’s Aaron Gobert underwent successful surgery Monday, October 2 in Southern California at the hands of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas Bryan to alleviate problems with his right hand caused by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. “He got in there and saw exactly what was causing the problems,” Gobert told Roadracingworld.com Wednesday. “It’s good that the problem was clear rather him having to take a shot in the dark.” Gobert said he has been having problems with his right hand going numb during races since the middle of the 2006 season. Rather than return to his home in Australia as soon as the AMA season ended, as he normally does, Gobert opted to stay in America to have the surgery. He will stay an additional two weeks to receive physical therapy on his right hand/wrist.
