Aaron Slight guests at the Mondial Demo Ride at Adria

The latest Mondial Piega Demo Ride took place at Adria circuit under the supervision of Aaron Slight, the New Zealand rider and former regular World Superbike Championship title contender. This privilege was reserved to all the participants at the Mondial Demo Ride on April 29.

The test days organised by the famous Lombarda marque are an unique occasion and are achieving great success among the fans. After the first Demo Ride at Monza on March 27th, when many potential clients from the foreign countries tried the Piega, it was Adria’s turn to showcase the blue and silver bikes.

Aaron Slight welcomed the fans and gave a briefing and talked about the best lines round the circuit. It was a unique experience for everybody to have such a prestigious instructor. Aaron Slight is 37 years old and has competed in 229 World Superbike races (more than every other rider!) with Kawasaki and Honda factory teams. He was on the podium 87 times and scored 13 wins, 42 seconds and 32 thirds and was runner-up in the World Championship in 1996 and 1998 – both times on a Honda.

After Aaron’s briefing, the Demo Ride participants were able to ride Adria for the whole day and try out the prestigious and exclusive Mondial road motorbike – the Piega.

There was no official timekeeping, but nonetheless Aaron himself put in a few laps and posted a fantastic lap of 1:16.7 – well under Adria lap record.

The Mondial Demo Rides are achieving enormous success: After the excitement of riding a Piega, it’s difficult to withstand the temptation of taking one home!
