The ABS unit employed is the Bosch 9MP, the market leader offering the maximum performance in the lightest and most compact package which makes it the ideal unit to incorporate into the limited amount of available space on the Brutale. The Bosch ABS unit incorporates internal pressure sensors which work together with the independent wheels speed sensors to give the internal control system the required vehicle information. The ABS has been developed with the precise objective of offering the most secure and effective deceleration in all riding conditions without sacrificing the braking power and progressivity for which the Brutale has become known. In order to offer the maximum liberty to all riders, on all three Brutale models the ABS system can be deactivated by the rider by way of the vehicle control software via the menu in the speedometer. Additionally, on the Brutale 1090 RR there is the Race Mode which can be utilized specifically on the race track or during aggressive street riding.
