Attesa, the 2,360-acre advanced technology motorsports and transportation design community just west of Casa Grande being developed by Danrick Builders, issued the following statement regarding Lucid Motors’ announcing it is bringing an electric vehicle manufacturing facility to Casa Grande:
“Danrick Builders welcomes Lucid Motors to Pinal County. We see Attesa as the cornerstone to the emerging advanced automotive technology industry in Pinal County. We look forward to collaborating with Lucid Motors and other automotive technologies that will be drawn to the area,” said Dan Erickson, Member/Manager of Attesa.
In June 2016, Danrick Builders of Chandler announced it is developing Attesa, a recreational motorsports destination in Pinal County that will create a global magnet for entertainment and an economic engine for the region. The development will promote thought leadership for transportation design innovation, and educational partnerships with universities conducting automotive research and development. Attesa will have two separate 2.8-mile road courses, a karting track, a driver experience center and a multi-surface racing and event area. A private airport with a 6,000-foot-long runway will enable patrons to fly in and out conveniently. Attesa will include residential, industrial, and commercial uses. Attesa is now in the entitlement phase.
“Attesa is being planned as a Silicon Valley -type headquarters for advanced vehicle design,” said Patrick Johnson, President of Attesa. “We’re building a community centered around direct access to a private testing circuit so companies can research, develop and measure their products in real time, in real world conditions, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year ‘round.”
Attesa will specifically cater to transportation development companies; specifically, those involved in electric vehicles and batteries, alternative fuels for internal combustion engines, driverless cars, new manufacturing technologies and motorsports performance.
Attesa will be home to scientists, engineers and technicians from manufacturers small and large, third-party inventors and others – including students and teachers from colleges and universities. Those institutions of higher learning, both local and out-of-state, will also be providing some of the skilled labor that Attesa’s high-tech tenants will require.
One of Attesa’s most visible and iconic features will be its planned solar canopied plaza, a 300-ft. wide, 2500-ft. long promenade that will take full advantage of the abundant, energy-producing sunshine typical to the Casa Grande area in the heart of the Arizona Sun Corridor.
“Inside and out, from research, industrial and commerce facilities to race tracks and ‘Garage Majals’ to the entire infrastructure, Attesa will be a bellwether advanced technology development in the American Southwest,” Erickson said.
