Agnes Wins Five Fasttrax Races At Nelson Ledges

NELSON LEDGES, Ohio The excitement began with the first race of the day Sunday in Round Six of the Fasttrax sprint series in a Suzuki SV650 battle between Tim Batten and Jeff Manley in the Bob Stanley Lightweight GP.

The 12-lap race on the 2-mile Nelson Ledges course had Batten of Garrettsville, Ohio edge out Manley of Wilmington, Ohio by a wheel measured as a tenth of a second. Batten won the drag race to Turn One off the start and hung on to the sliver of a lead throughout the race.

In Saturday’s endurance racing, a win by Empty Pockets Racing in the lightweight division brought them to within 15 points of season-leading Team Racer RX setting up an all out season championship battle in October.

Fasttrax travels to Beaver Run Motorsports Complex in Pennsylvania for its seventh and final round of the 2009 season on Oct. 3.

Fasttrax is a family-oriented club racing, track day and performance riding education organization with its home track at Nelsons Ledges, Ohio. For information on all of Fasttrax’s events and programs visit www.ridefasttrax.com
