Coolskunk KyDs Racing Team announces that the AGV Sports Group has signed on as a primary sponsor for the 2006 season. Founded in 1985, AGV Sports Group is one of the oldest rider-owned and operated apparel companies in the motorcycle industry. The list of riders who have worn AGV Sport products at some point during their career reads like a Who’s Who of road racing Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Troy Bayliss, Keith Code, Roland Sands, Tom Kipp, Mike Smith, Gary Rothwell, Kurtis Roberts, Tommy Hayden, Steve Crevier, Ben Bostrom, Eric Bostrom, Thomas Stevens, Pascal Picotte, Mike Hale, Randy Renfrow, Aaron Yates, and of course Multi-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin. The sponsorship package will include a combination of AGV Sports custom road race, supermoto and dirt track leathers to outfit Team Coolskunks 2006 four rider “A” team. In addition, AGV Sport will furnish AGV helmets, gloves and boots significantly extending their initial 2005 involvement. According to Philip Rispoli, Founder of the Coolskunk KyDs Racing Team, “this is just awesome! Coolskunk KyDs Racing has had an outstanding 2005 season in dirt track and our road race development efforts introduced three of our “A” riders to the pavement helping them to gain their road race license as well as some training laps at a few race tracks. It’s exciting to be working with a company like AGV Sports who clearly recognizes the value of our overall efforts at the amateur level. This vote of confidence further demonstrates the racing community’s support of our program philosophy of cross-training and turning young racers into winners both on and off the track. We are thrilled that the AGV Sports Group would support our efforts to this degree.” Coolskunk Kyds Racing Team continues to seek additional companies to represent in 2006 and welcomes product sponsorship and/or race discounts as well as financial support for the teams Flat Track and Road Race efforts.
