AHRMA Historic Cup Roadrace Series Coming To Willow Springs April 12-13

From a press release issued by AHRMA: AHRMA / Michigan Engineering Roadrace Series Returns to Willow Springs More than thirty classes of modern and vintage motorcycles will battle on the 9-turn, 2.5 mile “Fastest Road in the West” during the 13th edition of the Garage Company’s Corsa Motoclassica at Willow Springs International Motorsports Park in Rosamond, CA, on April 12-13. Two days of the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) Historic Cup Roadrace Series will join many other on- and off- track activities, including a vintage swap meet and classic vintage bike show. Included in the AHRMA racing schedule for the Corsa Motoclassica are classes that span a wide variety of ages and sizes. Machines on the track will include pre-1940 and “hand shifters,” and many classes will feature bikes from the 1960s and 1970s in displacements from 125cc to 750cc. “Superbikes” of the 1980s will be represented in three classes, and modern bikes will appear in Battle of the Twins, Sound of Singles and Sound of Thunder classes. Sidecars will also make an appearance at this event. Gates open at 7am each day, with practice at 8am and racing at noon. Children 8 and under are free with a paying adult.
