AHRMA: Registration Still Open For Oct. 9-11 Event At Barber

© 2020, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued By AHRMA:

AHRMA at Barber 2020 is ON!!

It has come to AHRMA’s attention that due to various unrelated announcements from other sources, there continues to be confusion over the October 8-11 events at Barber.  So, please note that although the annual Barber Vintage Festival is cancelled for 2020, ALL AHRMA EVENTS CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED!!

In a very challenging year due to COVID, AHRMA committed to give our members one of their favorite venues for Road Race and Off Road competitions, even though the festival has been canceled for 2020.  Therefore, we encourage everyone to attend this year’s events as the tracks and facilities will once again be in top condition.  Officially a non-spectator event, our races are open to competitors, friends and families in support of their favorite racer.

In response to this confusion, AHRMA has agreed to extend the Barber pre-entry deadline for all disciplines to Friday October 2, 2020 and, as of now, has room for more competitors. Log in to your account on MotorsportReg.com to secure your entries.

Off Roaders will get two days of Trials (Oct 9 & 10) and two Cross Country races (Oct 10 & 11) to participate in, as well as a Trials School by Steve McNeal on Friday morning.  For questions or help with Trials or Cross Country registrations, please contact Tony Paul at [email protected].

Road Racers get two full days of practice (Oct 8 & 9) and racing (Oct 10& 11) at this world class facility.  Anyone wishing to enter this year who is uncertain whether you have met the qualification requirements, please email [email protected] before pre-entry closes, and we will be glad to provide guidance.

Ultimately, we want to offer all qualified Road Racers an opportunity to compete, while keeping safety as our main priority.  So, if you have already pre-entered the Road Races and wish to add a class(es), please email [email protected] to inquire if your desired class has openings.  Accordingly, any racer who has pre-entered and wishes to add a class at the track may be allowed to do so (if that class has not already exceeded its cap), understanding the schedule will not be changed to accommodate conflicts.  Additionally, any pre-entered rider who has signed up for Thursday practice and wishes to add Friday may do so at the track.  Note: The race schedule will be published Monday October 5.

Please share with all of your AHRMA friends that we ARE racing at Barber’s 2020 – see you there!!!
