Taylor Knapp/Ducati Detroit Ready To Defend Title At 3rd Annual “Barber Cup” Pro Challenge

Taylor Knapp and Ducati Detroit return to Barber Motorsports Park looking to repeat their 2018 victory in the Barber Cup Pro Challenge.
This year Knapp will be riding The Racing Factory’s (Portugal) Panigale R superbike, which is the same machine he won the WERA F1 National Championship race with in 2017.

With $10,000 up for grabs, there will be no shortage of fast, world class riders battling for the podium. Fellow competitors include current MotoAmerica racers and former World Champions Scott Russell (Boulder Motorsports/Pierobon X85), Geoff May (Ameris Bank/Factory EBR Superbike) and Steve Rapp (Iconic Motorsports/Panigale R) among several other top riders.

Taylor Knapp: “I can’t be any more excited about this year’s Barber Cup. It didn’t look like we were going to have a bike, but in the final hour it all came together. I can’t thank Aloisio Monteiro from The Racing Factory in Portugal enough. Without his bike we would not be here. Also, our title sponsor this year ABTEK made it all happen in a short period of time and for that I’m grateful. I’m very familiar with the Ducati Detroit team and we’re going to come out swinging. Those other boys on the high dollar bikes better be ready come race time, because we will be!”

Ducati Detroit is located in Birmingham, Michigan and is the only exclusive Ducati dealership in the State. The dealership opened in 2013 and has received the Top Sales Volume award in the Midwest Region from Ducati North America for all 6 years they’ve been open.
