Miller Motorsports Park will host the 4th Annual Bonneville Vintage GP a AHRMA double points road-race event September 4th thru 6th. Miller Motorsports Park is located 30 miles west of Salt Lake City in the valley known as Tooele. This headline event has been growing each year, and once again will see some large grids according to pre-entries. Included in the event will be the extremely popular LeMans start Battle of the CB-160s race. To start this race the 30-40 racers must run across the track to a “bike holder” and bump start their motorcycle then battle for the lead. This race is such a crowd pleaser that two time World Superbike Champion Doug Polen has procured a loaner bike and will participate on Saturday. Also included in the Bonneville Vintage GP are two rounds of vintage and modern sidecar racing with the Superside America Sidecar Championship and Sidecar Racers Association West Inc. Race Series, the first and only sidecar road series at Miller. New this year is the BMW Airhead Championship Series and Trans-Atlantic Challenge Series. The Motorcycle Classics Concour d’elegance will feature an unusual collection of vintage bikes from early Vincents, Nortons, Indians and Ducatis, etc. to the featured marquee this year-Triumph Motorcycles. Vendors, swap meet, and a “Sell your bike Corral” will be at the event as well. Other events included that weekend at Miller Motorsports Park under their “Cyclefest” ticket are the Master of the Mountains Roadrace series, AMA Supermoto, and the Police Training and Competition Series that draws motorcycle officers from around the country to test their riding skills against each other.
