The 2 times Champion, Alex Cudlin, will ride alongside French specialist, Greg Black and Belgium ace, Gregory Fastre, in a 3 pronged attack at the 2016 title.

Motor Events, who have been 2 times champions of the Endurance Super Stock World Title, made the move to the Superbike category 2 years, ago after dominating the Superstock ranks. They have described this year’s line up as the fastest 3 riders they have ever had in their team.

“Since 2010, the team Motors Events have been committed to racing in the World Championship. We won the Endurance Superstock crown twice and decided even though we are a private team, we would step up to the Superbike category and fight against the official machines in the field of the greats.

“Last year our team was ranked 10th in the 24 hours races and we were very fast in the 8 hour events, until we had some issues. I want to improve the results of the team and fight for the podium and title. So for this year, I looked at the results of all the riders in the field. There were 3 riders that stood out in terms of performance, so we set about getting them in our team. To have an Australian, a French and a Belgium rider on the team will be a perfect mix. All 3 of them have won the Endurance title at least once and all have won 24 hour races. They are fit and strong and all show positive ambitions. It’s by far the best trio of pilots that we have ever had at the handlebars of this machine”, said Team Manager Marc Mothre.

Alex commented that he has watched the Motor Events team for many years. “In 2010 when I won the Endurance Superstock title, Motor Events were our biggest competitors. They finished 2nd that year and I knew they would only get stronger. They then went on to win the title 2 times, so they improved very quickly.

“Although they don’t have a massive budget like the factory teams, they have a fantastic crew, a great team of technicians and a good bike. Along with that, they have signed 2 very fast and experienced riders to join me in the team. I have been competing against them for many years and both Greg Black and Gregory Fastre have my respect, as they know how to ride a motorcycle fast, plus they have both done well in the longer and more grueling 24-hour races.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the team for the full year. I’m sure we can take some factory scalps on the way and hopefully get the results we all hope for.”

The 2016 Endurance World Championship will commence in France with the Le Mans 24 hour, followed by the Portimao 12 hour Portugal, the Suzuka 8 hour in Japan, the Oschersleben 8 hour in Germany and then finishing up with the Bol Dor 24 hour in France.

Alex will fly to France at the end of March to commence testing with the team.
