Alex Gobert’s Road Race Performance Academy has today confirmed that Wakefield Park will feature on the 2009 calendar, with the program visiting the popular circuit situated in Goulburn, New South Wales, twice this year. RRPA will first hold a school at the technical 2.2 kilometre circuit on 1 May, before again visiting later in the year on 21 September much to the delight of the local motorcyclists following a massive amount of enquiries for the school in the rural areas of NSW. Local racer Jason Kain, owner of the JK Motorsports motorcycle dealership in Goulburn, is set to join the RRPA staff at the events and will be a positive influence on the course at a circuit that he has competed at for many years. Gobert’s new rider training program has been successful in its early stages, building from strength to strength with a full calendar released for this year. The Wakefield events will mark a special occasion for RRPA, since it was the venue where the school was launched last year. Visit the program’s official website at www.rrpa.com.au for details regarding the structure and pricing for RRPA courses. RRPA’s next event will take place at Oran Park, NSW, on 2 February, before heading south for events in Tasmania and South Australia on 21 and 27 March respectively. ALEX GOBERT: “Wakefield Park has been a circuit that I have long enjoyed and we are excited about being able to utilise the circuit and its facilities for another year. We are hopeful that with the high profile of RRPA that we can attract both new and experienced riders to enjoy Wakefield, too, and raise awareness for motorcycling at the venue because it’s perfect for rider training, practice and racing.”
