Alex Lowes to Test Monster Yamaha Tech3?S YZR-M1 in Monday Brno Test

Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK rider and 39th “Coca-Cola Zero” Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race winner Alex Lowes will join the Yamaha MotoGP rider line-up for Monday’s Brno Test. Fresh from their success at Suzuka, Lowes will be reunited with his Yamaha Factory Racing endurance teammate and Monster Yamaha Tech3 Team’s Pol Espargarò at the Automotodrom Brno following this weekend’s HJC Helmets Grand Prix Ceské Republiky.

As an expression of gratitude for his superb endurance performance, Yamaha will invite Lowes to experience Espargarò’s YZR-M1 as part of the official IRTA test organised at the Czech circuit on Monday 22nd August.

After the pair’s amazing achievement in Japan a month ago where Espargarò had the opportunity to enjoy the YZF-R1 for a second time, it is now the Briton’s turn to swap wheels and step aboard the Tech3 Yamaha YZR-M1. Lowes is greatly looking forward to his first chance to sample the GP machinery with his main goal during the test focused on adapting his riding to the YZR-M1.

Alex Lowes – Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Rider

“I’m really looking forward to Monday’s test on the YZR-M1. I’m very thankful to Yamaha for providing me the opportunity, and to Hervé Poncharal and the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team for making it possible. Brno is a fantastic circuit and it will be good to work with Pol again, from inside his own garage this time! It’s been a good month already with the Suzuka victory and a really positive test this week on the World Superbike. Yamaha giving me the chance to try one of the best MotoGP bikes in the world will be a great experience for me as a rider and really is the icing on the cake!”
