Tuned Racing is proud to add Corey Alexander as their 2015 MotoAmerica Supersport Contender
Tuned Racing is pleased to announce the addition of 2013 AMA Supersport East Champion Corey Alexander, who is making the step up to the all new MotoAmerica Supersport class and is ready for battle aboard a Tuned Racing Yamaha R6.
“We are excited to have Corey on the Tuned Racing team. Corey is an extremely talented rider that should be a perfect fit for our team. I can’t wait to see what he thinks of our Yamaha R6 this weekend at Road Atlanta!” exclaimed team Owner, Mike Pond.
Corey joins Tuned Racing Superstock 600 riders Bryce Prince and Jason Aguilar for the inaugural MotoAmerica series.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to even race this season. It’s been a long winter and this deal came together really late, too late to make the sign up for the first round at COTA actually! I am anxious to get aboard a new bike and start this new chapter in my career. I know it won’t be easy making the jump up to the Supersport Class, but I am looking forward to learning from some faster guys as well as riding the R6 which has been the machine I’ve been battling against for the last several years. I have to give a big thanks to Mike Pond and everyone from Tuned Racing for having me as a part of the team. I am confident they have a really strong package for me to achieve the best possible results. A few weeks ago, it was looking a lot like I’d be delivering pizzas here in New York this year, so I am very thankful to be heading to Road Atlanta and racing this weekend. This really would not be possible without the support of MJRS Freeman Racing, Defy All Odds Apparel, and RideHVMC as well as my Uncle Richie and my crew. I also owe a huge thanks to Celtic Racing for all of the support over the years as well as the Celtic team sponsors who have gotten me to this point in my career. It would not have been possible without Barry, Richie, Skip, Chris, and Jon. Thanks to you all. I look forward to seeing where 2015 takes me!” stated Corey.
In addition to adding Alexander to the team, Tuned Racing has also added Josh Bartnik to help manage operations. Josh has an impressive history as a mechanic for AMA Road Racing, Supercross, and Motocross teams. Jason Aguilar welcomes the chance to work with Josh again.
“Josh was the first mechanic that I ever worked with on suspension setup when I was still racing minis. I have always enjoyed working with Josh and was really happy when I found out he was joining us in Road Atlanta. It will be great having Josh with us this season,” explained Jason.
