Josh Grant, Motocross Racer – JGR Toyota Yamaha Team Josh was showing amazing speed this season in the Lucas Oil AMA Outdoors Series when his season was derailed by an accident at the X Games. He finished out the season in sixth place overall despite missing three rounds and riding injured in another round. He also finished fourth overall in the Monster Energy Supercross Series. He was recently elected chairman of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation (AMHF) Board of Directors, which raises money for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum. After a long and illustrious off-road riding career (27 National Titles), Jack parlayed his skill and knowledge of competition into a successful business career in the motorcycle industry where he helped establish the reputation of the Penton brand, headed a successful product development project for Kawasaki, and served with Penton’s successor, KTM, as it emerged into international prominence as a leading producer of sporting motorcycles. http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/hofbiopage.asp?id=250 Mark Burkhart, Supermoto Racer – Monster Energy Burhart Racing Team Mark just returned from racing his first Proximus Superbiker event in Belgium in front of 30,000 supermoto-crazed fans. In wet conditions, Mark rode a smart race on his KTM 450 SX-F in the Finale this past Sunday and finished fifth overall from a field of over 400 riders from around the world. In the separate Supermoto Heats, he finished ninth overall with a tenth and ninth place finish. Mark picked up another silver medal to add to his collection at the X Games this year. He also finished the AMA Supermoto Championship in second overall in his first season running his own team. Mark enjoyed racing in Belgium so much he is now planning to finish out the last two rounds of the series in Italy and Spain with Italy’s Motoracing Supermotard Team. www.markburkhart.com Paul James, Director Product Communications – Harley-Davidson, Buell 2008 marked Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary, while the Buell Motorcycle Company celebrated its 25th year. In 2009, Buell reached a highpoint when they won the Daytona SportBike Championship.
