Dingman to represent all Continental Unions, chair finance committee on FIM Board

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — American Motorcyclist Association President and CEO Rob Dingman has commenced his four-year term as president of the Continental Union of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme that represents North America.

In addition, Dingman has accepted multiple leadership positions within FIM governance, including serving as chairman of the finance committee of the FIM Board of Directors, as the elected representative to the FIM Board for all FIM Continental Unions, and as a member of the board’s executive committee.

In these roles, Dingman will work directly with FIM President Jorge Viegas, who was elected at the FIM Annual General Assembly in Andorra on Dec. 1.

“It is my honor to contribute on behalf of the AMA to the work of the FIM Board of Directors,” Dingman said. “All American motorcyclists can rest assured that I will strongly represent the U.S. and North American perspectives on the world stage.”

The role of FIM North America president rotates every four years between the AMA and the Canadian affiliate of the FIM. Dingman assumes this role from Canadian Motorcycle Association CEO Marilynn Bastedo.
