DENVER (November 7, 2012) GP Sports Management, known internationally for managing some of today’s greatest racers, announced that they have signed American motorcycle rider Elena Myers to a representation agreement. One of the most popular personalities in U.S. motorcycle road racing, Myers became the first female to ever win an AMA Pro Road Racing Series race, recording her breakout victory at Infineon Raceway in 2010. She is currently competing in the AMA Supersport West (SSW) Championship for Team Hammer, where she wrapped up the 2012 season in third place in the final SSW rider standings. “We are very excited to welcome Elena to the GP Sports family,” said Mickey Ryan, Vice President, North America for GP Sports Management. “In addition to being an extremely talented young motorcycle racer, Elena is a very charismatic woman both on and off the racetrack and a fantastic role model for girls throughout motorsport. We are committed to helping Elena realize her dream of winning a World Championship and we truly believe she has the talent and determination to achieve her career goals in road racing.” “I’m very excited about being a part of the GP Sports Management family,” said Myers. “They have such a good reputation and I believe they can help in taking my career to the next level. I’m really looking forward to the future and I think GPSM is exactly what I need to help me reach my racing goals.” Myers began racing mini roadrace bikes with her father when she was just eight years old and four years later in 2005, she caught the eye of Team Hammer’s owner John Ulrich. Ulrich sponsored Myers for the next few years under the RoadracingWorld.com banner in the U.S. Grand Prix Racers Union Series, as well as the Western Eastern Racing Association. After securing her maiden victory in 2010 at Infineon Raceway in the Supersport West division, Myers achieved her second career win at Daytona International Speedway in March 2012, becoming the first woman ever to win a professional motorsports race at the famous racetrack.
