AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Bulletin #2012-06 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: March 29, 2012 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Practice and Qualifying Red Flags 2.16 Flags / Lights a. Operational Flags / Lights i. GreenFlag / Light: Indicates the start of a race or clear track conditions. ii. Checkered Flag (waving): Indicates the end of a race or practice session. Proceed around the course to the designated track exit. iii. RedFlag / Lights 1. When on-track activity is interrupted the red flag will be waved at the finish line and designated flag marshal post(s). All riders will stop racing (no overtaking) safely reduce speed, signal to riders behind them and proceed with caution to the pit lane. Riders should report to their hot pit stalls. 2. When the red flag is displayed during practice or qualifying, official timing is immediately suspended. Any incomplete laps will be invalid. 3. When the pit-lane exit is closed, this flag will be displayed stationary at the pit-lane exit. Riders are not allowed to exit the pit lane. 4. The red flag will be shown motionless on the starting grid at the end of the warm-up lap. More, from another technical bulletin issued by AMA Pro Racing: AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Bulletin #2012-07 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: March 29, 2012 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Rider Changes 1.1 Entries a. Entries for American SuperBike and Daytona SportBike will be pre-entry only. All entries must be received no later than the published deadline. Entries received after the published deadline may not be accepted. i. In these Entrant based categories, rider changes may be processed until the completion of final qualifying. The designated entrant must have been pre-entered for the event and the machine v.i.n. must be registered. A rider change form (available at Tech) must be submitted to AMA Pro officials before the rider change can be processed. Any replacement rider must possess a current AMA Pro Road Racing competition license that qualifies them for the class in which they will be substituting. The replacement rider must establish their own legitimate qualifying time to be included on the grid for the start of the race. If the rider has not participated in any timed session prior to the scheduled race, they will not be eligible to race. ii. All Timed Qualifying Procedures (2.18) and Provisional Start (2.19) rules apply to replacement riders. b. The SuperSport and XR1200 Series may can be pre-entered or post-entered. Post entry entries deadlines will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on the first day of on-track activities unless otherwise stated defined in event specific schedules and supplementary regulations. i. Rider changes are not allowed in these competition categories.
