AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Bulletin #2012-13 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: 7/9/2012 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Back-Up Bikes 2.8 Motorcycle Usage a. In all AMA Pro Racing classes, riders may utilize no more than two motorcycles per class through an individual official race event (I.e. first practice through final race). All such motorcycles must be pre-approved by Tech Inspection in the specific rider’s name. These two machines may be repaired but none may be replaced with a third motorcycle of unique V.I.N. b. Riders may share a common back-up bike as long as it does not constitute a third bike for either rider. Riders may not use machines that are not currently teched to them during any official session. c. Any active bike on the circuit must have the current rider’s correct competition number and scoring transponder affixed at all times.
