The semi-trailer used to haul and store AMA Pro Racing’s road race equipment was destroyed in a fire early Monday morning while at its normal maintenance facility in Columbus, Ohio. Details are still coming in, according to Kerry Graeber, Vice President, Director of Communications, but this much is known. AMA Pro Racing’s trailer was one of several damaged during the fire in the maintenance yard. The tractor used to haul the trailer was not damaged. No one was hurt in the incident. Inflatable Airfence safety modules are transported on a different vehicle and were not damaged in the fire. The full extent of the damage to the trailer and the computers and timing and scoring equipment it contained is not known, but the trailer and its contents were covered by insurance. More details will be posted as they become available.
